The Golden Minds is a mental health program dedicated for senior women. This program focuses on promoting emotional wellness through a variety of engaging activities including: art therapy, brain games, mental health workshops, and wellness workshops. Golden Minds provides comprehensive mental health services, offering valuable information sessions on topics such as depression, anxiety, and stress management. The goal of the program is to help senior women reduce stress, build coping skills, and foster lasting emotional resilience for improved emotional and psychological well-being.

The Canadian Heritage Day event is a vibrant celebration, hosted at the Aaniin Community Centre. This special event will bring together 100 women to honour and celebrate the multicultural roots that make Canada unique. Through engaging activities like arts and crafts, cultural discussions, and delicious food, we aim to showcase the richness of our diverse community. This gathering not only reflects Canada’s heritage but also fosters unity, connection, and a deeper sense of belonging for all who attend.
Seniors, Sarees and Skills is a weekly program that brings senior women together to promote mental and physical well-being through cultural expression and creativity. Held at the Aaniin Community Center, the program offers health-focused sessions that cover topics such as aging well, mindfulness, and dementia prevention. These sessions are paired with hands-on art activities where participants repurpose used sarees into creative items like wall hangings and placemats. By fostering cultural connection and community engagement, the program helps reduce social isolation and empowers immigrant and newcomer senior women with new skills and a sense of belonging.
